Im new here and wanted to say hey! I am planing on getting started on riding motorcycles and after many hours of research i felt in love with the FZ8. So i wanted to join this community to clear myself from all doubts, if this is the right bike to choose or not. Right now I am just curious what awaits me in here and what the FZ8-veterans have to tell me about "my bike" of choice. To be perfectly honest, the wide spectrum of competition, in form of the z800, fsr750, speed triple or f800r makes me think over and over again. But everytime i come back to loving the looks of the FZ8
I am from Germany, 30 years of Age and have never ridden something beyond 125cc... Please excuse my rather bad english, I am not a native english speaker ;-)
Greetings

No worries, your English is great! As far as the 8 goes, the 8 is a perfect bike if you want something that does everything well.

welcome and please don't hesitate to ask us questions. your English is great. I think the 8 is a good all around bike. Remember if you are a jack of all trades you will master none. basically this bike doesn't do any one thing great. its better handling and fun than a cruiser but not as sporty as a supersport

Welcome our German friend. I think the 8 is a great choice. Yes some of the bikes you mentioned are good choices also, but the 8 is a good value for the money. I don't think you will do wrong by purchasing an 8. Your English is better than some of the people on this site.

Welcome!!!
as long you don't plan to haul ass on the Autobahn (to less power) and the Landstrassen and City's are more your home the FZ8 will be a good choice.

Although we may seem biased being we all either own or have owned one. But most of us had other choices too. But picked the 8. Why? Well because it's fucking awesome. Like these gents said its a great and fantastic all around bike that's more then strong enough and sexy as hell. Build your skill and roast the bigger bikes like a boss.

Welcome!!!!! To the thunder dome!!!!! Soak up as much of this knowledge as you can!!
of all your bikes listed..I would choose speed triple or fz8...and or aprilia shiver 750(my buddy has one and damn! I'm glad I do NOT!)
the fz8 is an awesome all around bike, from learner to speed demon, it will make everyone smile as they ride it!
