Where'd you get a R77 for cheap? I was looking at the Coffman's too and I love the gold tip - but thanks for the heads up on the fading.

I got the r77 used from someone about 1.5 hr away. Found it on craigslist randomly.

You're the man! I'd appreciate it. A little while is fine, I had originally planned on paying my bike off before getting an exhaust and I'm hoping to do that in the next few months.

I have been running my Coffmans for over a year, no fading on my gold tip.  It is still looking good.

Is there any kind of baffling in it?

Not that i want it quiet, i know running a true open header isnt good for a bike

It comes with a baffle (R6), they also sent me a second baffle (250) to try. The one that comes with it (R6) is good, provides enough back pressure and tones down the sound to a very manageable level,  The (250) version is a lot quieter, but is way too restrictive.  I tossed that one in the lowest dungeon of my tool box.
