I've already noticed this on my clutch side. I'm thinking of replacing the throttle tube, so I will be taking the grips of soon and cleaning them and using better glue. What kind of wire you talking here? I prefer renthal brand grip glue myself..doesn't set up instantly like the super glue shit..only downside..if it's not hot out...gotta wait a few hours to ride. tie wire trick..any grips will work Nice. Very helpful. My oxford heated grips were all loosey goosey after turning them on 100% for a while. Not fun.

I'm fortunate enough to be in California and don't need heated grips..but if I did..I would tie wire them for safety for sure

I kind of like the bike... simple. Might try for heated gloves instead.

Good friend once said some hand guards would work better than heated grips by pushing the wind around your hand vs direct impact. I've yet to test this though... But... I might have to soon. lol

I have Oxford heated grips as well, and they also broke free on me mid turn once. That scared the shit out of me. Throttle cut out completely. Thankfully, it wasn't a sharp turn and I wasn't really leaned over. My advice is to get heated gloves if you can afford them. The grips work great if you want to bake the palms of your hands while leaving the backs icy cold. And for some reason my pinky is always still freezing. Heated grips are also very hard. As soon as I can afford it, I'll be replacing my grips with something more comfortable and sticky and getting some heated gloves. Oh yeah, WELCOME by the way!
