Herro everyone. My name is Chris I am 23 years old and will be picking up a 2011 FZ8 here in a few months. Just came on here to see some sick mods and if anyone is close to my area for riding. I live in Dubuque Iowa its pretty much right next to Wisconsin and Illinois.

Thanks for the welcome and I'll check out the map here once I get home from work. I got a pretty good deal 4k on the 11 with about 8k miles and a lot of addons. Gotta ride 5o Chicago to get her though. I'll have pictures up in a little

Who knows I could spend a few days up in Chicago area and ride with some people ? Ha. Also dose that app for your phone work pretty well for this type of forum ? I didn't download it because it looked like a 3rd party and wasn't sure.

The bike I am getting here I'll add a few more photos once I get home. Has nice yosh exhaust. Heated grips. Gold mirrors and handle bars. Also plasti dipped rims gold. Has a USB charger from the battery. Fender Elim kit of course. Comes with both wheel stands. Also has a phone holder mounted to the bars so you can clip your phone on it for nav or music. I don't believe he has done anything to the engine or upgrades in that sense. I did see that some people have a very sick looking head light. How does one do this ? Hah |

Niiiiiiice!!!! I like the wheels! The headlight is an hid retrofit into the factory housing...some of us added a bunch of accent lighting (like myself...white strips and white and red angel eyes/ halos) There was a member on here (rabbitman) that is or was doing this as a side business. He said he no longer does it but his websites are still up,and running Affordablehidrettroffiting.com And a few members got the hid parts and put them in themselves...it was a big PITA if I remember correctly (I shipped my headlight to Pennsylvania to rabbitman last winter..he had it for 2-3 weeks) The accent lighting is just to look cool..the headlight itself(morimoto hid) is bright as shit! Outshines the stock light tenfold....that was my reasoning for doing the retrofit...I could not see ANYTHING at night..even with a PIAA light bulb and clear visor...now I can ride with my dark smoke visor and see just fine at night! here is close up of mine witht the hid OFF  |

Yep was going to take a flight there or drove if my gf is going to come with me and ride heR back. Thanks for the info on the hid it looks pretty sick. How much did that cost you for that whole project ?

Let me know how the plasti fucked rims work out. I did mine a couple of years ago and they didnt hold up. Then again, I apparently suck at plasti-fucking

I didn't download it because it looked like a 3rd party and wasn't sure. There are two apps. Tapatalk, which I've never used, and the Pro-Boards App. I like the pro boards one. I have it on my iphone and it works just fine for checking in. I dont use it for my primary, but if I'm traveling or taking a shit, it works fine. |

The tapatalk app is pretty much the only way I get on the forums. It has it's issues, but it works pretty well overall. I tried the proboards app a long time ago and didn't care for it. That was quite a while ago though. Wood pretty much covered the hid subject. The same guy did mine and it's currently my avatar.  |
