Hey all, I don't actually own an fz8 but I just finished two retrofits for some members on here and was told I should come check it out! I ride a 2006 cbr 1000rr. If you're looking for retrofits, check out my Facebook page at facebook.com/scotidiLighting, or instagram @scotidilighting. Cheers!

Welcome to the forum! Put some pictures up of your beast. We accept all bikes here except Hooversgayblue blue scooters, and even then we occasionally make an exception.

Here you go: Why the two different color wheels? Just a style choice or was there another reason?

Zen, what you can't see is that the other headlight is Pink. He has this slick two tone on white color scheme.

MotoZen, to make you ask haha its always been my scheme. Pink and green. Very gender neutral and looks great together. I never got the red and black super aggressive macho stuff.

Man, I went through your FB page, and that stuff looks great. The fit and finish is great. Some of the folks around here who have done similar stuff have noted about some of the parts malfunctioning after a while. I know anyone will be super protective about their work, but is yours any different from the other ones ? Do you use any parts or assembly technique that makes these go longer ?

I think what roadiez means is mine and woody's both had LEDs fail in the halo rings. I just had mine repaired with the same stuff by the guy that did it originally. He got his stuff from www.theretrofitsource.com

It's entirely possible that mine will have failing components. I simply don't have the ability to bench test these for extended periods of times to determine longevity. However, I have done 17 sets with literally no complaints of failed components yet. My first set was on my bike for a year and nothing failed. Honestly I buy my projectors and shrouds from trs but I get the halos and other leds from different vendors. I have heard nothing but shit about the diode dynamic and morimoto halos and have nothing but great things to say about the halos I use. If anyone ever has an issue like this though I'd be more than happy to help fix it for cheap. I'm not in this for the money, I'm in it to make cool shit and to help people have cool shit for a good price. Too many retrofitters/headlight companies out there charging way too much for their stuff. I also take the guess work out of incorporating a harness and do it for my customers.
