What's up everyone! My name is Jake and I'm from Orlando. I just bought my 2012 FZ8 on the 15th of this month. I bought her with close to 8,000 miles, bone stock. Named her Eva haha. I'm coming up on my year mark of riding sport bikes. My first bike was an 09 Ninja 500. Grew up on dirt bikes and I just couldn't go another bike without having a naked style. Glad to be a part of the FZ8 family.

Welcome, take a look in the mod section. Tons of ideas, some quite cheap, some pretty expensive. If you have a question just ask, the search function is shit. Congrats on the bike!!!

Welcome mate, nice lid, shit place to live. I lived in O town for 4 years, just off the Bee Line on Narcoosee. Appreciate that! Yes, Orlando is definitely a shit place to live hahah. I live on the outskirts of downtown so it's not too bad. I'm familiar with Narcoosee. I love the attractions and beaches here but hate the people and traffic

Did you get the Yamaha owner's manual with the bike? Put it next to the toilet and scan it the next time your in the library. If you did not get one, Yamaha offers them as a PDF download from their site. You can almost triple your mileage before you need to worry about the valves. It aint a Duc!

Wow! Much easier than my old Ninja 500. Had to adjust the valves frequently on that sucker. I did download the PDF for the service manual. I just need to print it off. Good thing I work at an office supply store!! Thanks guys

18k for valve check. Very rarely will u need to adjust. Generally around 25-30k u will hear slight tapping. Then u need an adjustment!
