How much heavier is the fz1 than the 8? It would be interesting to see the modded out 8 vs the 9

How much heavier is the fz1 than the 8? It would be interesting to see the modded out 8 vs the 9 there's fuck all in it something like 8 kilos or something. A modded 8 should give a standard mt09 not sure on the name over there a good run for its money. Once the 8 is modded the useable power increases. So hp might be the same but the modded bike should make better use of it. |

How does the FZ8 hang with the FZ1 now since it has the cams? It belongs in that company still got to get dyno tune sorted... But mate you have to ride it lots of gear changes and higher rpm riding but it hangs well. Will maintan the gap till around 210kmh... The 8 still pulls upwards of this speed but the larger cc fz1 does it a bit better On standard sprockets |

Thought i would add that since our last ride we have both had exhaust modifications (seemed like a good idea whilst we were sinking a few coldies) and we haven't run together since. I have noticed an increase in the higher rev range and it appears much faster through the whole rev range with no flat spots through to the now max of 12,300 rpm so it will be interesting next time we ride together to make the comparison.
I don't know when that will be as Jubbys just had a son and his wife has put two six inch nails through his feet into the lounge floor and they dont look being removed anytime soon LOL.

I also had the rear cowl that replaced the pillion seat but for more than one reason, it spent most of its life in a box. I much preferred my forks black, mine came with gold wheels and gold forks... I liked it when I bought it but it slowly started to irritate me haha |

06 R1 Just do it. How hard was it anything in particular that was a bitch? Sourcing good parts, that's it. I grabbed an entire front end and used the forks, callipers, master cylinder + brake reservoir, wheel + axel. Retained FZ8 rotors and ordered custom front lines (just measured them and told them R1)... Forks drop straight in. MASSIVE improvement. |
