My patience is wearing thin and I am sick of looking at it in the garage. I want someone to enjoy it as much as I did. I've contemplated basically giving it away or keeping it but just letting people ride it and keep it at their places for the season. All they need to do is maintain it. minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/mcy/5348489983.html

I spent $900 for 5year warranty covering stuff I didn't change from stock essentially. Re flash if say I got an engine leak probably would void that. They can tell if the ecu was ever unlocked. That's why I have the PCV, it controls the ecu without rewriting it. I regret the warranty but it's there. It also gives road side assistance around the country with hotel reimbursement and alternate vehicle and warrants my tires and rims from accidents such as nails.

Unfortunately I spent the same when I bought the bike. I debated but felt the benefits out weighted the chance of loss of warranty. My Yamaha Extended Service (YES) did not cover tires/wheels but I got a separate policy that does and it too covers replacements, hotel, Towing... It was $200 bucks for as long as I own the bike. It was transferable the first 3 years.

Yeah $200 isn't $900! So many mods for $900. Oh wellsies. I'm holding off for now on re-flash and custom exhaust project.

That's about as cheap as you can pay to get your arms ripped off. That Akra system is bonkers expensive but sounds mad as fuck. It's a pig ugly bike, that would take some work to make it look the nuts, but that engine...oh boy, that engine is just stupid. I had the 97 TL1S, and to this day is the most exhilarating thing I've ever owned. Handled like an Amish wagon, FIE was pants, and it ate tires, but it went and sounded like Fuck in the Night. I'd do another one in a heartbeat. I promise you, the first time you open that thing up hard, you will never get that sound and punch in the bollocks, out of your mind.

The FZ8 rules schools, back yards and crossroads! Purpose built not to blur lines but cross them all. I do believe Yamaha.

It had a reputation as the widow maker of the 90's. Several journo's got stuffed when the bike got into a real bad headshake. Suzuki recalled it in 97 and had a steering damper fitted. They then de-tuned it. Mine was around 126 if I remember right. To be honest, it scared me when I seriously got on it. That being said, it was fucking comfortable for a sport bike. My buddy had the Super Hawk, which was similar, but smaller and not as quick. Think is, the Hawk handed and stopped. (ask Camo, he had one). I took it to Florida when I moved there, and it was totally useless there. Biggest issue was the heat. It had puller fans on the back side of the radiator and it would fucking cook you in town. Florida is also very "pig heavy", and if I kept it, I'd of lost my license, guaranteed.
