The SV is a vtwin, sounds great. Your gixxer would wipe the floor with it but the SV would still be fun but not to dissimilar to the 8 really.

What's faster than a gsxr 750 on the street anyways?

Sv's are a great platform for a trackday ripper or a short commute rider. There are a million aftermarket race components. Many are still competative machines despite teir age. I would mod and ride one. My friend races for LTW racer on a sv650, penske double clicker, ohlins front suspension and gsxr wheels, busa pistons. Here is his 75 hp SV650 vs some 600's in a CCS Race.

Yep, one reason I was ok getting rid of our SV was it wasn't that different to the 8 in feel. Sound, yes, and down on power a bit, but overall, it felt very similar.

What's faster than a gsxr 750 on the street anyways? A helicopter ride to the hospital or morgue.

Near the 4:00 mark in traffic. Sweeet. Dont let anyone fool you into thinking a mere 75 hp isnt fun. When you are keeping a bike at speed, hp doesnt even come into mind. Pass under braking, keep the throttle open longer and get it open early. Loads of fun and fast enough to keep you wide awake. And when it doesnt feel fast, you are riding it slow. The point is when people talk about cc or fast bikes, Sam puts high hp 600 to shame on his single thumper 650 on a track. I have road with him on the street and he is miles ahead of me with less than 40hp than what I have. The dude can flat out ride, giving the 600s a 8 second lead and catching half the pack is no joke .

What pipe do you have? I would need a pipe that can fit on my Akra headers. Probably wouldn't change the ecu tune very much.
