What's up everyone, my name is Avery and I'm from MN. I got my baby (21012 fz8) late June last year. When I got her she had around 1300 miles, mint condition all stock. This is my first bike and I love it. I was on a budget last year after buying the bike so I didn't do any modifications, but I'm excited to start this year. On Friday I had my integrated LED tail light deliverd, and today I'll be getting sliders, and a fender eliminator so hopefully I'll get some time this week to put that all on. I think the next thing I want to do is get rid of the stock mirrors. Do you guys have any recommendations for mirrors?

Cycle gear bar ends are pretty popular. I'm partial to the crg arrow bar ends. Everything mounted on the stock location yields the same elbow view from what I've seen.
Welcome to the site man!

Welcome from Kansas. We will gladly help you spend your money on mods. I just picked up a set of Blade mirrors from Amazon. Just search on bar end mirrors at their site and it will be bring up pages. Revzilla and Sportbiketrackgear are both good sites. Wander around and look at old threads. If you can't find what you are looking for then just ask. There is just about nothing that hasn't been done here but a turbo.

The arrow ones are pretty sweet looking, I wish they were sold as a pair for $100. I'll check out Amazon.
Thanks guys.

Welcome Avery! Congrats on your first bike, you picked a good one. After the mirrors we need to make the reflectors on the forks and the giant front turn signals disappear.

Not for me yet since I'm a beginner I was way behind them lol.

Practice practice practice! I ride the pace with two members from this forum about 1-2x a month. Fun ride and good people. No egos and no bs. Many people I ride with including myself I consider beginner to novice... my thoughts are you are not advanced until they do some track time or some organized classes getting training from professionals. Let me know if you wanna ride ever. I'm always looking for new people! Did you store your FZ8 at SSB over winter? I saw one or two in their warehouse... just a stab in the dark.

Your new mirrors are enroute. They should hit your door friday - see tracking image. I sincerly hope you like them. I know I do. And yes, the California air affects my spelling from time to time. I used to blame the device, I now blame it on carying a tad less. Either way, I wont intentianally steer you wrong. Laugh along with me and I am sure my ramblings will make sense. Enjoy the bike and the freedom it brings. Best, Dennis Heck yeah, I can't wait to install them! Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it.

Fyi, it looks like ups put your shipment on the slower boat. See tracking for current info. enroute Got them today thanks for the card and throat collar that could come in handy here in Minnesota! I watched a video on how to put bar end mirriors on. You remove the bar end on your handle then rremove the rubber piece inside your handles by drilling it out?! Is this the only way? The video I watched said it took him 35 minutes to drill that piece out.
