New member from Louisiana. I just purchased a brand new, 2011 FZ8 with 0.0 miles on it. It's a big dealership, and it has several new/old bikes in its inventory. I'd been eyeballing the FZ8 for a few months and finally pulled the trigger. I'm just an old guy, been riding Suzuki street bikes since 1980, and wanted an update. WOW! What power, with an incredibly linear delivery. Wind buffeting wasn't bad, especially for a nake bike, but the wind roar was deafening. I'll have to get a bikini screen. Riding position was a little more cramped than I expected, but I'll get used to it. One thing I'll have to change are the mirrors. THEY SUCK! I can't see immediately behind me. I'll have to make some extensions to move them out about 3 inches. Yamaha should know better than this. This is a genuine safety issue. The only other issue is a throttle lock. I really like having one for interstate riding. All in all, a wonderful bike. Attachments:

great score! Bar end mirrors make a world of difference.
There's a load of info on here, but the place is DEAD. Be sure to join the facebook group "FZ8 Owners USA" to be able to chat with people and actually get a reply.
