Welcome, you do have a very tough decision to make. Do you ride a bunch of miles each week? I love my 8 and the mileage has been excellent for me. I have been getting 41+. I commute mostly about 42 miles a day. I have to fill up every 4th day of riding to work.

Yes that one. I take it it was beyond repair. No well for the money a new one made sense. Lots of filling and sanding would have been required before paint.

Welcome, you do have a very tough decision to make. Do you ride a bunch of miles each week? I love my 8 and the mileage has been excellent for me. I have been getting 41+. I commute mostly about 42 miles a day. I have to fill up every 4th day of riding to work. Prior getting married and having kids I used to ride 7,000-10,000 miles a year as I really used the bike for everything since gas was cheaper. Now I'm guessing I'll be doing lots of early Saturday morning rides when the family is asleep and just starting to get the day going so I can leave around 7:30 and be back around noon. My riding is mostly going out and doing a lot of exploring on the back highways so I do tend to get around 100-150 miles when I go riding. I'll be using the bike for work too but I live on base so only a 1.5 mile commute. Living in Belleville, Il I'm only 23 miles from St. Louis so I really want to start exploring the south county part since it gets really hilly and I know there has to be some good curves around there in that countryside. I saw a picture of the FZ-07 with the plastics off the tank and rear which made it look really cheap in how it was made. The FZ8 looks a bit more well put together. I really did have my heart set on the FZ-07 but then after seeing the OTD price on the FZ8 it definitely got me thinking.
