Hi all. I'm from Ontario, Canada. Just found this place. Looks cool. I have 2011 FZ8S with just a couple of simple mods and a few more on the way. Too bad it's now the start of winter here and so riding is basically done for another 4 months or so. A few pics: Ad where I first saw her: Day of the test-ride: Some ProGrip rim tape: Yoshimura tail-tidy: Yosimura R-77 SS/CF/CF slip-on: Coming soon: Pazzo levers, swing-arm spools & decent bar-end weights. My other baby, the day I picked her up (2010 STi):

Thanks. My "summer only" ride: 2002 Mustang GT, intercooled Kenne Bell 1.7L @ 9psi, 3.73s, Comp 262AH cams etc etc. The bike, basically stock, is still faster which is why I think I prefer the FZ8S to the Mustang and STi as a "fun toy." Not much beats the STi in the winter

I love that STi. I've pretty much gone where I want with it (Stg 2 Cobb with an intake and Cobb tune plus a Perrin cat back and some Whiteline sways front and rear) and will not really be modding it anymore. It's been very reliable and a fun car to be sure but the interior is a bit of a letdown. I've spent a considerable amount of time chasing and knocking down rattles and squeaks and the ones that remain would likely require the dash to come out. Subaru defintely put R&D dollars into the drivetrain, not so much to interior packaging. Not a big fan of rattles. What's funny is that I've had to do the same thing to the Fazer. The instrument cluster and fairings resonate and buzz quite a bit at certain RPM ranges. I've had some good luck with closed-cell foam strategically placed and will pick this effort up again in the spring

I have a Borla Cat back on mine and that's all I hear !!!!

I beat the shit outa mine and it never had an issue. The only time you might consider upgrading is if you're over 400? (or 500? I forget the exact number) HP. Even then a new clutch and a lightweight flywheel is all you need. I've got friends here in AZ that went all out with Dog Boxes - but its too much $$ if you ask me.
