Hi all, I'm new to bike's, passed my test last September and had every intention of getting a Kawasaki Z8 I had never heard of an FZ8. So I was on the internet and saw it a fell in love instantly and a week later it was mine  . 2011 white, with gold wheels. Love it But there is some things that i need to do to it. Rear shock feels more like a spring. could I put the FZ1 shock on if so what year? ![]() what Tyre's are best for the bike. there are prob more things I wonted to say but can't think of anything else at the moment |

Wow..first post and you already opened the can of worms lol!!! (Not a bad thing at all!)
Yes...fz1 shock can bolt on directly (any gen 2 fz1...06 and up). And also..there is an adapter made by a guy called "satan666". I'm dead serious. He makes an adapter to use an r1 shock which is even better! Someone will chime in how to get a hold of him.
As for tires...I don't know how,you ride or what conditions..but michiline pr4 should cover all of them..it's a really good all around tire with,the,same profile as a supersport tire just a bit more firm in the middle for sport touring (I was alll about supersport tires..but they only lasted about 3-3.5 thousand miles. The pr4 I'm on has about that and looks,on the new end...and I push the tires,very hard)

Welcome! Love the white 8s with the gold wheels. Yes work on the suspension first and then have fun with all the other available mods. You shouldn't have a problem finding an FZ1 shock or R1 and the adaptor.
We welcome new riders and I think if you take some time to read through some of the threads here you will find they are full of good info and a little bit of Bull Shit. We like to mess with the other members in good fun. Join in and have a good time.
