Hey all. Happy Friday! I heard good things about this site so i thought I'd sign up. I'm Shane and just bought an 2011 fz8 this year from a Ninja 250. Cant wait to ride the summer away. Here is a pic of the bike(looks like an fz8 to me):

Only guideline is, take part. Contribute every once in a while. That's it. Oh, and welcome aboard. Hold on tight. We get a bit rowdy.

I'm still here!!! lol I just put on some pilot road 4's after the previous owner got about 7K from the stock tires. Picking it up today, pumped to ride on the new tires. From reading some posts in here, sounds like a whole new experience riding on these. NExt time I want to install them myself if its not a pain in the ass. Any experiences changing your own tires. Is it worth the hassle?

Before I moved I had my own tire machine. I could not fit in my truck anywhere so I gave it to my best friend up there. Once here, I was pissed I needed to replace my tires and refused to pay for it. So I did some research,
Bead breaking:
Tire removal:
These work like a charm. I just replaced my tires in about an hour from start to finish. I use balance beads, I would suggest looking into these as well.
Congrats on the bike!!!

Is it worth the hassle? Ask other riders how they do it, I got the name of a guy here in town that will do front and back for $70 on the bike. No dealer in town can even come close to that price. Or you my find someone with a tire machine that will do it with you.

Did we scare you off already? Apparently we didn't. My guess is too much chowdda. Had to sleep it off for a week.
