Hey guys. I'm new to here, but not the FZ8. My name is Braxton (b-eock on the FZ8Forums). I had a wreck on my '11 FZ8 a few years ago. Bought an 05 R6 for stunting after that, but the engine seized soon after I had it.
Never really tried to get an FZ8 again because the insurance quote I got was absurd. Until recently, I got Allstate to quote me $1686 a year for full coverage, compared to Progressive at $59xx a year for full coverage, and still better than the $32xx a year I paid on my '11 FZ8. So I found a new 13 FZ8 down in Beaumont, Tx. Locked it in my name and will be picking it up on the 16th.
I'm from Dallas, and if any of you remember me from the FZ8 forums, you know I can ride this bike Lol but you'll also understand how much I love it. I've ridden the 11 FZ8, 04 636, 05 R6s, 05 ZX-10R, and own a Honda Shadow Spirit 1100C right now. I'd pick the FZ8 any day. So I'm glad I could go out and do this and will have the bike soon!

Hey Braxton, welcome aboard! You'll have a blank canvas to start modding in a few days  Any questions you have just throw out there and someone on here will know the answer. Just avoid the "octane" and "what oil to use" threads. That stuff has been beaten to death and will likely start a fucking riot!... Lol |

Welcome aboard, we have a couple of absent Admins that live in that area. You know the drill, post some pics when you get the bike. But start asking questions now. We will gladly help you spend your money on mods.

Oh believe me, I know what mods I intend on doing. I know my oil and gas I like to run. Not gonna be one of those "new guys". Like I said, I'm new to this forum, but I know quite a few of you and I know the FZ8. I love the bike and I'm ecstatic I'm going to be getting one again.

Tomorrow, I go to pickup my new '13 FZ . Can't wait. But I also have to take my Shadow 1100 to the shop for a service and wiring problem. (Previous owner was terrible at repairing wires. I may be a mechanic but my butt is too tired to screw around with wiring I don't know about.)

Suspension thread....
Pick a setting and ride a week. If you feel it needs to be softer then make it softer (same thing for stiffer). Make adjustments until happy. SIMPLE!
Nobody can tell YOU how the bike should feel to YOU but YOU.
