Hello everyone My name is Jeff aka Siku as far as screen names. I've had my Fz8 since 2012 and I love it more than any other bike ive owned (and Ive had quite a few). I'm 26 and like the post title says im from Michigan. Ive been on quite a few forums related to the fz8. Somebody from another forum recommended I check this one out since I im desperately in search of a PCV map with no success so far. Here's a picture of my ride. Mods PCV-recent Twobrothers Slip on Givi crash cage 520-525 chain conv -1 +3 vortex sprockets Vortex bar ends K&N airfilter And of coarse reflective yellow rim tape If anybody knows where I can find DrDooms PCV map or a map that will suit my bike better than the garbage dynojet download please let me know! -Jeff

Mod the airbox? I love that you did -1 and +3. I was at -1 +2 and wanted to do +3. I just rode through the UP of Michigan.

Welcome to our little cyber hole. There is lots of good people with good info on here. It's been a little quiet lately but everyone is out riding. Do yourself a big favor and look at getting the ECU re-flashed, it will be like getting a new bike. Turbo Joe is the man and he can set you up for a fair price. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Umyaya is the expert at that!

Welcome! Nice bike! Any plans for other mods? Personally I think you gotta get rid of that fender, stock signals, and stock mirrors. I did a DIY fender eliminator 20 dollar knock off mirrors and 10 dollar ebay led lights that have held up great. Motodynamic is a great tail light with improved visibility. There's tons of info on here for all that stuff and if you don't see it just post up and someone will either find it or get you an answer.

Do you have a WR250X behind your 8?! Oh shit I completely over looked that and have a wr250f. My guess is a wr250f with a supermoto tire?

It was the first bike I ever owned. Bought it brand new off the show room floor. The bike behind mine in the picture is actually my dads. That bike is a 06 wr450f setup for hooligan riding. I am interested in doing other mods like the airbox. I'm currently saving up for a house, and I have a 3 year old girl so I'm not trying to dump a TON of money into bikes like I have in the past. I'm actually looking at getting a Givi monolock set for it. I'm interested in checking out this ECU flash, ill have to do some reading up. Here's the short list of the bikes ive owned in order.. 2008 WR250x 2006 R6 2006 Hayabusa (RIPieces) 2005 Triumph Daytona 2012 FZ8 1972 CB200 1982 650 maxim bobber I tend to ride on the safe side now being a father but I drag a knee now and then. I'm not an expert hooligan either but ill just leave this here...

Nice as I was writing I was thinking it could be a wr450f...damn hard fore to tell them a part...although I'm sure riding the bigger bike would be a good way to tell.
If you don't want to dump a lot of money there are a ton of great threads on here with cheap mods. Like DIY fender eliminators. I went cheap with a lot of my stuff and have been happy. Ebay mirrors, signals ect. Turbo joe ecu is awesome at about 200.

would it still be worth the turbo joe ecu flash even though I already have a PCV with the jumbo map?

would it still be worth the turbo joe ecu flash even though I already have a PCV with the jumbo map? Yes! You could eliminate the PCV or use it to tweak it even more, if you are in to that. But you would need a dyno or the other PC products to take advantage of it. Most are happy with the Turbo Joe flash as it is.

would it still be worth the turbo joe ecu flash even though I already have a PCV with the jumbo map? I know there are guys who went from the PCV to the flash and liked the flash better. As Kansas said some have used the Pcv to fine time the flash and got a couple extra HP. Most guys have been really happy with turbo joes tune with gutted headers and a modded airbox. I bought headers but if you are looking to save a good chunk of change gut the stock ones. I went from slip on to slip on plus flashtune ecu, to slip on plus modded air box, kn air filter, headers and turbo joe tuned ecu. By far the most noticeable difference is the ecu flash. The time is well worth the 200ish bucks and turbo joe is a great guy (former fz8 owner) to deal with.

would it still be worth the turbo joe ecu flash even though I already have a PCV with the jumbo map? the flash does soo much more than just A/F mixture.... its does fuel cut eliminator, kills the o2 sensor 8f you want, removes rev limiters etc etc
