I'm sure some of you might remember back when I was having some problems at the job I was working at. Forgot to post about it on here but a little over a month ago I got a new job at Best Buy! I'm doing the same thing I did at my old job except I get treated like a human being and I'm properly paid for the experience I have and get recognized for hard work. Feels fucking awesome working at such a great company! Just thought I'd share with you guys. I know it was just a minimum wage BS job but I sincerely appreciate you all supporting me through that shit I was going through at my old job. I'm honored to call you guys my friends.

Update: I've been at Best Buy for a few months now. For the holiday season, we're gonna be doing overnights to get more work done without customers interrupting our work flow. Instead of a manager or supervisor working with us, we have a seasonal key holder "team lead" position. I was approached by my General Manager and Operations supervisor about the position and how they really wanted me to fill that position. As of today, I landed the position! Pay increase and I'll basically be the "manager on duty." I'm so excited - this is exactly what I fuckin' deserve for busting my ass. This will be great experience too for the resume and especially because I'm looking to move up in the company. One last thing, my GM also told me by the time I'm stepping back down at the end of the holidays, she should have a full time position ready for me to move into! I can't express how happy I am!
Just thought I'd let you guys know!

Atta boy.... Err..young man. You keep that up and you might write your own ticket. Good for you. Keep kicking ass. The best part of your write up...I could almost visualize you smiling proud as you hit send. Made me happy to read it. Best, Dennis Hahaha! You betcha. Don't want to get too cheesy in this post but you're right and the fact you noticed it made me smile too! I appreciate the kind words Dennis

Good for you Jake. The last words I told my coworker on Friday were to "shut the fuck up" so Monday mornings gonna probably be a little awkward.

Hey Jake, How did everything go over the holiday season with the new job. I hope it was good and you banked a lot of OT. Best, Dennis It went really well! Had no issues being the keyholder, busted my ass and they actually CREATED a full time position for me to bounce back into which is what I'm in now. The schedule was absolutely horrible for 2 months but I pushed through even during the toughest nights where I felt sick and tired. I ended up spending a lot of the money I made on Christmas gifts for my family because I felt like giving since they've all done so much for me. I did bank some money and I'm fairly close to getting my first truck which is super exciting. I haven't ridden much at all. It's just now getting cold in FL but even before I just haven't felt like riding. I've lost a lot of my spark for riding but I got some new gloves from Christmas gift cards so now I have an excuse to be excited to ride again lol. How was your holiday and New Year? I meant to send a card but I've been so off the radar between working that crazy schedule and balancing school at the same time. This was probably my craziest holiday season yet lol. I hope all is well!
