Hi, all! I found this forum from a Jake2Wheels youtube video. I've had my 2012 FZ8 since new, about 10k miles ago.  So far no major mods past bar end mirrors, tail tidy, and a Coffman's slip-on. Next on the docket for me is hopefully an R6 throttle tube (any pointers on the best place to get my hands on one cheap?  ), followed by the 'airbox mod' when I can get my ECU flashed. Looking forward to having new folks to talk shit with! |

To tell a bit more about me/my bike: I'm an IT Systems Engineer for a living. Long days (and sometimes nights/weekends) keeping the back-end running for a software co here in Austin. For the bike, I feel like a couple pictures speak more than I easily can   |

Glad you made it here to the forum, man! You're going to want to talk to the man, the myth, the legend - DGray about the best method for your R6 throttle tube mod. He is the almighty knowing. Bike looks superb! Be sure to check out the Mods section and FZ8 Maps section if you need some inspiration. Since nobody has beat me to it yet, the search function sucks ass so if you have any questions, just make a post in the corresponding section. Most of us are more active on riderscentral.proboards.com now so you can shoot the shit there along with this forum. |

Order online, genuine R6 throttle tube. I got a 2013 year it works awesome. I know other year model R6s have different WOT ratios. "Wide open throttle" check it online for specs and buy which one you like. Aftermarket throttle tubes cost more IMO, mine was $17 at my local dealer.
